Day 9 of 23: I Was Fast and Then I Died

Oddly, today went according to plan. That almost never happens. Either something pops up, or I sloth out and don't do what I planned to do (because as I explained in a previous post, I am a Lazy Whore).

I slept in a bit (thanks, Fantastic Husband!), then got up and had coffee and bemoaned the stupid weather we're currently having. Wind and snow do NOT go well with time trials. I made a lovely breakfast.

Hmm. Looks like I photographed my finger.

I thought about waiting a day or 2 to do my time trial, in hopes that the weather would be better. The last time I did that I ended up waiting almost a week. I couldn't do that this time. It's go time. My "A" half is in 6 weeks and I have another half in 4 weeks. Nate the running guy needed my time so he could devise the utter torture that is the build up before the taper.

So I got on the treadmill and just cranked it the fuck up. 3 miles. 25:54. Then I laid on the floor and coughed and heaved and questioned my life choices for a while. Maybe like 10 minutes. I wore shorts, and they still fit (praise cheeses), but I did have to cinch the drawstring. That's okay, though. That's what drawstrings are for. Mad props to the fine people at lululemon on their "Speed" shorts. I was dubious about a 2 inch inseam, most of my shorts are 4 inches, but they didn't ride up at all and were comfortable as fuck. I swear those things are made from unicorn pelts because they are just perfect and weightless. And cute. I didn't take a picture. I was trying too hard not to throw up.

Update: I just got the email with my new splits. Fuck. Me.

After my time trial I cleaned up and went for coffee with a friend. I had a breve, so there went my dairy check box for the day. I'm normally a black coffee person, but I was in the mood to treat myself. With fucking milk. Because that's my life now.

When I got home I decided to head over to the box for the 1230 WOD. I haven't been to a 1230 in ages. It was awesome! I got to see 3 people I haven't talked to forever, and rowing is much more fun when the chit chat is strong (Convo topics today? Sports bras and self tanner.)

Before I jumped in the car, I grabbed a snack.

The cupholder is just the right size for a pepper.

I did some chit chatting after the workout, so I ended up not getting home until almost 2. I sort of missed the window for lunch, so I just chowed down a BBE. I need to stop eating these. They're turning into a crutch.

But so tasty.

Then we got the spawn from school and settled everyone in for a snack and homework. I got a Stitch Fix box yesterday. I'll let you be the judge.

Uh...nautical?

Then there was this thing. My husband's reaction was "Is that thing inside out or something? What is that?"

Good question. Weird lace under transparent fabric?
WTF?

This wrap dress was okay I guess? Basic black. Fits fine. Utterly dull. And covered with someone else's deoderant marks. Yup. White marks all over it. Kind of a shitty fabric as well.

Boooooooring.

But I also got some new lulu (clearance shorts! clearance bra!) to make me feel better. Included was a new pair of stripey leggings. Size 6. Fit like a glove. How does lululemon make everyone's ass look so great? My rearview instantly improved.

Fantastic husband made dinner while I watched. I am an expert cooking-watcher. I never make suggestions, I just look hungry. Tonight was sweet potato hash with onion and bell peppers, topped off with jalapeno beef kielbasa. Holy shit it was awesome. Thanks, husband! Check boxy as fuck.

Just spicy enough to make my nose run.

I didn't eat any legumes today. Oops. I also need to eat some more fruit at some point. I'll get to it eventually. Goal right now is to pound about 3 liters of water. I fell behind on my drinking and now I have to make up for it.

Last night I managed to stay up relatively late. Must've been that nap. Tonight I'll turn in early. Tomorrow morning I have my lab draw for the conclusion of my program. I have to fast for 12 hours before, so early to bed will be key. I'd like to work out after, but that means getting creative with my breakfast and snacks. I'll figure something out. Hmmm...915, yoga at noon, then running while I get my car serviced? Why not? What the fuck else am I doing, right? I'm gonna smell fantastic.

I discovered a few days ago that Animaniacs is now on Netflix. I've been binge watching it. Obviously the nations have changed somewhat, but this song was my fucking favorite thing. I can't wait to show this cartoon to my kids.

Day 8 of 23: A Farewell to Pants

All of my Athleta leggings are too fucking big. As in any movement causes them to shift down to the point where I spend half my workout hiking them back up. All my favorite goddamn pants. Some of them are less than 6 months old. The pair I'm wearing right now? Yeah. Only the second time I've worn them. They're high waisted even...and they gap like crazy at the top and bag around the knees.

All my pants. Shit. And it's been so bloody cold that shorts are out of the question. My shorts still fit. I think. At least, they seem like they do. I guess I'll find out.

I can hear a chorus of "OH boo-fucking-hoo your pants are too big. BITCH." It's coming from inside my head. Because I realize it's not really something I should be complaining about. Except that Athleta pants are epensive, yo. And I just laid out a crapload of money sizing down about 6 months ago. I have a serious athletic-wear shopping problem. This isn't helping. I should be paying down my student loans, not buying MORE new pants.

I'm also having a difficult time wrapping my brain around ordering a size small pants. Ain't nothing small about me. I'm 5'10". I weigh 157lbs. I wear a size 10 shoe. I have huge, octave spanning hands and a wingspan that exceeds my height. How the fuck am I wearing a size small anything? I'm a goddamn Amazon, except with two boobs and zero archery skills. I mean, I've worn a size small scrub pants for a while (and I'm thinking about sizing those down as well-how fucked up is that?), but scrub pants are filthy lying whores. They are basically elastic waist pajama pants. Pretty much anyone can cram their ass into scrub pants that are 2 sizes too small and call it good. I'm terrified that I'll order new workout pants, size small, and when I try to put them on the pants will scream and run away, or my giant man-calves will split the hem.

So I ordered one pair of Athleta size small pants. To replace the black and white stripey ones that were my gateway into horizontal striped leggings. If they fit, all may not be lost. Just a LOT of money.  At least I know someone who will take the mediums off my hands. It's a free pants party. Yeehaw.

I took PTO tonight, so I was awake most of the day. That tends to make my eating sort of...odd. I either eat everything that's not nailed down or have very little desire to eat at all. Today I had to make myself eat. I didn't eat my lunch until almost 2am, which is rare. Normally I'm ravenous by midnight. Not so much last night.

It was double portion of salmon and a shitload of broccoli.

My night was relatively uneventful, which was fine. I don't like it when my last night is crazy busy, it can make it really hard to get through the first day off. I had my annual review the other morning, and good news! I get to keep my job! As usual I am an exemplary employee in that I show up and do pharmacist shit on the regular.

I drank a lot of coffee overnight, which made me a little refluxy. I didn't eat again until around 5am, and I broke out the BBE because I wasn't sure how bell peppers would sit on a slightly upset stomach. My water consumption was on point last night. So much peeing.

Meh.

When I got home I made some breakfast (I forgot to photograph). 2 eggs, spinach, and bacon. We were pretty much out of all my usual staples (Ezekiel bread, berries, fruit, etc) so it was pretty simple. Filling, though. Then we went to the box for a partner workout of 100 burpee toes to bar pull-ups. That is every bit as weird as it sounds. I did them though, if not terribly gracefully, with my partner Amanda who got toes to bar today for the first time. They grow up so fast (sniff).

After the gym I ate the snack I didn't eat last night.

Two pairs of these pants are going buh-bye.
I love these pants.

I assessed the damage to my hand. I had a callous come clean off. It hurts. Showering is going to suck for like 3 days.

Goddamn my soft, girly hands.

I wore pigtails today. Mostly because I curled my hair for work last night and that makes for curly pigtails. Curly pigtails tickle me.

WHIMSY, MOTHERFUCKERS!

One of our water heaters (we have two-bourgeois as fuck) had the pilot go out (or some shit) yesterday some time, so my shower was lukewarm. Which was okay. Cool water hurts less on an open hand. Fantastic husband, who is one resourceful son of a bitch, bought a part and fixed the heater this afternoon. Hot shower tomorrow? Sign me up.

After showering I caught a nap, which is not something I usually do on my first day off, but I had yoga tonight and didn't want to fall asleep at 6pm and miss it. It was a nice nap. When I woke up I had a snack.

These pants are also leaving me. Only second time I've worn them.
Dammit.

Fantastic husband took the boys to CF kids while I supervised the girl child's homework. I made dinner for the smalls and made myself a bowl of yogurt and fruit. It's all I could really think of stomaching.  Gotta eat something, but nothing seemed appealing. First day off problems.

May the Flying Spaghetti Monster bless Costco.
These berries were divine.

Yoga was challenging tonight. I managed side crow (balancing on both arms, but still) for the first time tonight. I almost almost almost got up into wheel. That pose is so close I can taste it, but I just can't seem to pick the crown of my head up all the way. We also worked on headstand, and every time I attempt that pose I feel like a 3rd grader encountering fractions for the first time. It just doesn't make any damn sense. Practice makes perfect, I guess, and there's nothing but time. If nothing else I got a lot of good stretching, which I needed after today's gym suckfest.

When I got home I had a snack. I was craving salt.

No cheese for you, dog!

Today wasn't too bad overall. I got most of my boxes checked. I drank most of my water. I got two great workouts. Now I'm off for a full week. Time to get back on track with my running and eat alllllll the things.

I had initially planned to hit up the #fiveonefive tomorrow, but I have to run a 3 mile time trial. I'm not sure beating the shit out of myself a the box is the greatest idea before that. So I'll sleep in a bit, have a good breakfast, do 3 miles balls to the wall...and then go have coffee with a friend. I'll probably bathe. Probably. If the workout doesn't look like it's going to leave me bleeding on the floor maybe I'll go over the noon hour.

StitchFix sent me a box today. It looks dismal. Maybe I'll share pictures tomorrow. There are several boxes of new activewear headed my way in the next few days, so I guess I'll be testing that "small" theory in short order.

I'm scared. Hold me. But not really.

Day 5 of 23: Work Hard, Recover Well

Last night was another slog. Busy, and in a bad way. I spent the first 2 hours of my shift in the ER helping to work a code. Not a good way to start a shift. At least I made it back to the department to take the handoff from my northern counterparts. And I guess by the time I really got rolling it was already after midnight, so there's that. I also got a fist bump from the ER doc, which was both strange and kind of cool.

I was a little better about photographing my meals today. I didn't quite hit my water goal yesterday (it's a bad idea to drink a shitload of water and then work a code...not like you can duck out to pee), but I got close. I'm only about halfway in for today, the there's some time yet.

My lunch was somewhat delayed by the aforementioned shenanigans, but I did get to eat it while it was hot. I ate it really fast to achieve this, but whatever. It was filling, and it stayed with me. Big win.

Protein, veg, legume, and a little cheeeeeese.

Around 3am I went back into my lunch bag for something to gnaw on. Peppers and hummus won out. I had two HBE, but I was really, really not feeling them.

All the peppers, all the time.

0500 brought a slight sweet craving, which I fed with a BBE and a cup of Buttered Rum flavored coffee.

These are kind of a crutch, but I was out of yogurt at home.

My night nanny was scheduled to work in the pharmacy at 0700, so she brought the spawn to me and fantastic husband met us in the hospital cafeteria for breakfast. Breakfast tastes better when you don't have to cook it yourself.

I love bacon.

Then it was home to sleep. I was out pretty quickly and slept until my alarm went off at 2pm. 6 hours of sleep is pretty standard, and since I got so much sleep yesterday it wasn't a chore to get up. I could've slept longer, but this week's Team WOD was at 3pm and I wanted to go. I don't normally get to on my on weeks because it's generally at noon.

I had a snack before heading out.

These are my favorite pants.
I also had some string cheese and clementines in the car on the way.
No photo. Sue me.

So we went. And did 5 movements 4 times, tabata style. Then we had a break and did 5 other movements 4 times, tabata style. Total was 40 minutes of workout time, and it was a grind. I was able to do all the movements without modification, which made me really happy. That happens more often now than it used to, but every time I look at a workout and realize I don't have to scale it (unless I want to for whatever reason) I get excited. Learning new tricks all the time. Afterwards I dropped into the yoga class one of our coaches offers every Sunday, affectionately called "Broga". I was late because the WOD ran over, but I still got a good half hour of stretching and even made it up into wheel with an assist. I'm going to get that fucking pose. I will. I'm strong enough, I just need to work on my arm placement and shoulder mobility. Wheel and fucking side arm balance. I'm coming for you.

Afterwards I cracked open a FitAID and sang obnoxiously with the radio on the drive home. It was leftovers again tonight, but I can't complain too much about leftover tenderloin.

All the food groups.

Here's my snapshot. All boxes checked. Winning.

Eat all the things.

Time to wash the spawn, then wash myself. Night 4 of 6 on deck. If I'm lucky, perhaps tonight will be a calm one. I can hope. I also have to figure out what the hell I'm going to eat tonight since I'm out of peppers AND yogurt. The HORROR. I'm seeing a lot of broccoli in my future.

Tomorrow I'll be hitting an evening WOD and then straight to yoga. I'm going to smell delightful.

Day 4 of 23: Mostly Pictures of Empty Plates

I failed the fuck out of food fotografy today. (Isn't alliteration fun?) I had another busy night, but mostly I was just too absent to think about it until it was too late.

Last night was strange in that I wasn't really hungry, but I had a strong desire to eat. That often leads to disaster. It hasn't happened to me in a while, just because this checkbox thing has me eating so damn much so often that I'm already eating when the urge to eat for no reason comes and goes. I ate my lunch at midnight as usual, but it didn't satisfy me. Normally I'm good until at least 3am.

It was a big piece of salmon and a crapload of broccoli.

So I dove back into my lunch bag for some string cheese.

It was disappointing.

And then back again for a BBE.

Stock photo.

And then back again for peppers and hummus.

Stock photo.

And then my lunch bag was empty and it was 2am and I was all "Shit, I'm about to fail." But you know what? I didn't. I was full, I just wanted to eat. So I made myself a cup of coffee, grabbed another glass of water and just rode it out. It sucked, but I wasn't going to starve and I wasn't going to die. By about 4am I'd settled down enough to be okay. Fantastic husband dropped off the spawn on his way to work and I took them down to the cafeteria for breakfast. I had eggs, bacon, hash browns, and fruit. All on plan. I even watched them split a donut and felt nothing. I win.

In general, when fantastic husband works the weekends I spend most of my day awake which makes me irritable and exhausted. Today a miracle happened. We came home from the hospital, the kids settled into the playroom, and I went to bed. I slept soundly for 4 hours, then woke up and made lunch for the smalls. I just had a piece of toast with sunbutter.

Stock photo.

Often when I wake up mid-day I have that post nap "refreshed" feeling which sounds like it would be good but actually sucks because I haven't slept enough and I can't fall back to sleep. Today I still felt sleepy, so I left the kids coloring at the table and went back upstairs to try for some more shut-eye. And you know what? I got two and a half more hours!! It's an April miracle! That brought my total to 6.5 hours which is hands down the most sleep I've ever gotten on a husband-working-weekend-day. I got up, got the kids a snack and changed to get on the treader. I cued up "Inside Out" (which we'd never seen) and got to work.

Can I just say I fucking hate 800m repeats? They make me feel like I'm going to die. I like 400s, I don't mind mile repeats, but something about 800m just takes me to a dark place. It's too long to flat out sprint, but not long enough to really settle into a rhythm. I warmed up with a nice slow 11min/mile, then cranked up to 4 minute splits for 800m. It was a 4x800 with 800 recovery between. Surprisingly, with the movie on it went by relatively quickly today.

I still felt like I was going to die. Here is my "I almost died" face. About a mile in I stripped off my tank top mostly so I could use it as a towel. The kids were horrified by my lack of shirt. "MOMMY. WHY AREN'T YOU WEARING A SHIRT?!?!?"

I. Almost. Died.

Lets talk about this bra for a second. It's a Victoria's Secret sports bra. I bought it the day I got remeasured. It's a front close underwire with a zipper close over the top. I will say it kept everything on lockdown, but I don't know how it will work for long distances (I only did 5 miles today). It's cute, and it looks more like a legit top than a lot of my sports bras, but...underwire. Something about that scares me. Like one of the wires might come loose and stab me through the heart during a half marathon. I also feel like the material at the edges would chafe pretty significantly on a hot day. I was sweating balls during this workout, but again...only 5 miles. More research is needed.

As an aside, one of my longest held body confidence goals is to run outside in just a sports bra and shorts. This is only the second or third time I've managed it in the privacy of my own home, and it's the first time anyone saw me (even if it was just the kids). They were scandalized, but they didn't claw their eyes out or anything. My daughter didn't cry at the sight of my abdomen (she did that once, before I had it fixed). Baby steps? I mean, I've only worn a non-tankini 2 piece bathing suit in public on cruise ships and on foreign soil. Is 2016 the year of schmabs out?

After my run I needed some calories, but I only have one pepper left and I need it for tonight. I snarfed down some raspberries and drank a FitAid.

I really dig these. Just sweet enough.

I took orders for dinner (I don't usually do this, but we had 3 types of leftovers to choose from) and set to work getting it on the table for my starving vultures.  I wasn't feeling any of the leftover options (I'll take some for lunch overnight), so I had breakfast. Which is appropriate, since it's kind of my morning. Also a nice cup of Deathwish. I may have another after my shower (that's right, I'm still sitting in my own filth and I don't need your judgement).

Um, it was good?

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that it's already 6:30. I love this extended daylight. I can't wait until it's warm enough for me to ride my bike to work. I miss that. I think riding home in the morning this summer is going to be awesome. As strange as it sounds, I miss riding home after second shift. Something about that dark ride was deeply thrilling. It was scary sometimes, but mostly exhilarating. I don't think riding TO work in the twilight will be quite the same.

Here's my daily snapshot. I'll have some carrots and hummus later to round things out. I haven't done the greatest with the water today, but I can manage to hit my goal by midnight I think. Kirk keeps telling me that my body will slow the fuck down on the peeing thing as I adjust to more water, but that never happens. Do you know what inspires panic? Waiting too long to take a pee break because you can't get out of the pharmacy...only to find that all 3 of the restrooms near the department are occupied.  It happens more often than you think.  I got a little side eye for sprinting down the surgical floor to the far employee restroom at 4am.

Grrr. Water.

Since I actually slept today, tonight should be way less sucktastic than usual. Tomorrow the Team WOD isn't until 3pm, so I might actually make one during my work week! Yay! Then hopefully yoga to round things out. It's night 3 of 6, so after tonight I'm on the downslope. 8 days off are coming. Ye gods I love third shift.

I just realized I'm going to get to go to the #fiveonefive next week Thursday! Hooray!

Wow. I'm a whole different person when the spawn let me sleep.

Day 3 of 23: It's Really Just Pictures of Food

Last night was fucking bonkers in the salt mine. Mostly in my remote salt mine, but I swear every time I got up to pee (which is constantly) I came back to my desk to find between 60 and 100 orders awaiting my blessing. Granted most of these are for piddly things and not srs bzns, but I still have to stamp my approval on them, and their relative piddliness doesn't prevent the staff from freaking out if they aren't checked RIGHT NAOW. Forget about eating. I pretty much ate my lunch cold and randomly stuffed other things in my face when I had 2 seconds. Behold.

Chicken and chickpeas with broccoli.
Pretty nasty cold, actually.

I got the hiccups while I was choking down my cold broccoli. That's miserable as all hell.

3am snack. Pressure cooked eggs.
Easy peel, but they were a weird color.

We had a lot of people on labor intensive drips overnight. Narcs, sedatives, clot busters. Paperwork, secure tubes, and lots of hand delivery (some drugs don't hold up in the pneumatic tubes). It was also end of month, which means every floor was checking their crash carts for outdates and calling for replacements. Phones off the hooks. Gah.

Mashed this into my head around 5am.

I'm not a huge fan of the BBE original (it has lots of sugar and some sucralose, which makes me gassy as fuck), but I like these PB chocolate ones. No sucralose, and they kill a sweet craving pretty handily.

The cafeteria opens at 0630. I headed down for some breakfast.

$2. Seems fair.

Then I came home and crashed. Hard. I slept until about 3pm, which is wonderful. Tomorrow I'll be awake most of the day, so I'll take a good day's sleep. I didn't run my 800s as planned. It'll be the treader tomorrow for sure. I'm so fucking lazy my first day on. I'll just have to grind it out tomorrow. I have a movie I can cue up on the DVR for the kids and I to watch while I flog myself on Torvald the Treader. Should only take about an hour to get it done. I can hack that. Sure I can. Man my glutes and hamstrings are shot today. Yeeeowch. Back is good, though, so there's that.

When I woke up, I ate...like I do.

Peppers. Shocking.

And then I ate some more, because hungry.

Ezekiel toast with sunbutter. NOM.

I also had a couple of cups of coffee, because I was freezing. My blood pressure is bizarrely low, as is my heart rate. Combine this with poor circulation and I'm basically a reptile. My hands and feet are perpetually ice cold, to the point where my husband shouts and scuttles away from me. Imagine my surprise when my little man crawled up into the chair with me because "I'm so cold, Mommy, and you're always so warm."

Cold hands, warm heart?

He's a little icebox like me. His brother is a human furnace, like their Dad.

Fantastic husband made tacos for dinner. I had mine bowl-style with some black beans. He also managed to find 2 perfectly ripe avocados at the store. Time to buy a lottery ticket, because the odds of hitting the Powerball are better than finding ripe avocados.

Get in mah belleh!

I'm almost done with my water for today. Yay, me. Drinking this much is work. I was deeply craving a Diet Coke overnight, but I did not cave. 20 days to final assessment. No time for fucking around. Another reason to grind out 6ish miles on the treader tomorrow. Goals and shit.

Time for dessert.

No seeds, I had sunbutter earlier.

Here's my daily snapshot.

Shit. I missed a Category 2 veg.
Guess I'll chow down some carrots later.

I actually made my lunch, so that puts me ahead of yesterday. Probably should shower at some point. Baby steps.

See? Told you it was just pictures of food. And bonus shot of me with bed head and PJs. Sexy.

Night 2 of 6 up next. Yeehaw.

Day 2 of 23: I am a Lazy Whore

The power went out last night. I only know that because the dog went apeshit around 2am and when I woke up everything was pitch dark. It's strange how used to random ambient light we are in our techy society. The TV receiver has a little blue light, two alarm clocks usually glow on the side tables in our bedroom, even the streetlights and outside lights of the neighbors' houses cast light into our homes at night. I thought "Huh, power's out" and went back to sleep. No reason to worry about oversleeping due to the outage, because if there's no power for my alarm? No power at school either.  As it was, the power came back on at about 5:45, just in time to get up and feed the spawn.

I hit the snooze twice. (Lazy. Whore.)

When I finally did get up, it was a battle to get the smalls up and moving. Rain has a sedative effect on everyone, it seems. I made them some waffles and assembled some lunches. Mom stuff. Then I made myself a cup of coffee and plopped down in the living room chair to peruse the news.

Breakfast was my usual "off week" fare.

Ezekiel toast with Sunbutter is delicious.

Also 2 containers of water. Gah. So much water.

We went to the box for today's Hero WOD. There were burpees. Fucking burpees again. I hate burpees. Because I? Am a Lazy Whore. We ran outside (which was lovely in spite of a light rain), did deadlifts (I loaded up 185#! A new WOD high for me!), and burpee pull-ups (for me, because I can't do bar muscle ups). My DL reps were pretty good until about 30 in when they started to look ugly. I know this, because Justin made his disgusted face at me. On the plus side I don't think 195# is my 1RM anymore, and I managed to get over the bar on every one of my burpee pull-ups. My back feels totally fine, so I didn't do any damage with my ugly reps at least.

I mashed in my post-WOD snack in at the gym.

Stock photo, it was a yellow pepper today.

Then we went to Target because my stupid blowdryer shorted out yesterday and now that my hair is long I can't get by with a cold air dryer. Stupid hair. And you can't go to Target without going to Starbucks, so...

I had a flat white. Woo dairy!

We got home, I poured some more water down my throat, and then ate again. Because that's what I do. Eat. Constantly.

It's only half a potato. Promise.

After lunch I crawled into bed for a nap. No shower. Lazy Whore.

I love napping on rainy days. It was legit today, since I'm working tonight, but it just feels decadent to burrow under the covers and snooze while the rain hits the windows.  I didn't sleep very long, unfortunately, but I often don't on my first day back to work. Some sleep is better than no sleep. I probably would have slept longer, but I had to pee. Fucking water. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but I couldn't. Dammit.

So I got up and had a snack.

It's like chips, but not.

And felt very glad that we replaced the sump pump last year.

Any more rain and I'll need a goddamn ark.

And sat in a chair knitting a dishcloth, because I am a lazy whore.

I considered going for a run, because the sun came out and it was relatively warm in spite of the rain, but I didn't because lazy whore. I did get my copy of Runner's World today. That's a Vizsla on the cover with the perky blond. I don't look like that when I run with Lucy. Because I? Am a Lazy Whore.

She is way too damn happy.
I do wish to learn how to love every run.

I feel myself falling out of love with running. Which is sad. Running and I were so happy last fall. I wonder if we broke up and running didn't tell me? Maybe running needs more from out relationship. Maybe running has discovered I'm a lazy whore.

We plopped a roast in the crockpot for dinner. A perfectly nice rainy day meal.

The other half of my mutant potato, and legumes! Woo!

Have I mentioned the water? So much water.

After yesterday's workout my core is shot. Deadlifting today didn't help much. My abs always hurt after deadlifting. I'm sure my ass and hamstrings will be shouty around 2am. That's generally when I start to lock up.

Speaking of work I should be making my lunch, but I'm not. I also still have not showered. This lazy whore smells delightful. Instead I am eating again.

With cocoa nibs for funsies.

It takes a lot of food to fuel this much sitting around.

So here's my daily snapshot. I have 800ml left to drink, but I'll do that at work. I do have 2.5 hours there before the checkboxes reset at midnight. Plenty of time.

Look at all those checked boxes! WIN!

Tomorrow Bernie Sanders will be at the Kress Center. I'm going to try to get in to see him, which may or may not work seeing as I'll be daysleeping. I think I'll run over there, then if I can't get in at least I will have gotten 4 miles in round trip. Gotta do something. Saturday is an awake day, so I might get some planks and shoulder work in if I'm feeling particularly ambitious. (Hahahaha ambition. Whatevs.)

I might be too lazy to finish my dessert.

Is laziness savant a thing?  I'm going to make it a thing.
